The popular Japanese bookstore Rakuten released its usual list with the bestselling works between the 13th and 19th of June.

In the light novel category the 4th volume of Yowaki Max Reijou nanoni, Ratsuwan Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta won the 1st place among the most acquired works of the period.

Exceeding 350,000 copies sold the work blends romance and fantasy in an entertaining way despite the unoriginal beginning.

The story follows young Pia Rockwell who is reborn in a fantasy world similar to an otome game.

Quite shy and belonging to the nobility, at the age of 10 the girl suffers a massive fever that unlocks the knowledge and memories of her past life, when she was a college student about to earn a doctorate in paleontology.

Now the daughter of a villain, Pia understands that her destiny will be exile after being rejected by the comical but clever Prince Rufus to whom she is engaged. Seeking to avoid a tragic end, the girl tries to break off the engagement and embrace the life of a paleontologist where she will explore ancient fossils and perhaps open her own museum. Rufus however is in love and will do everything not to break the engagement.

The novel started in August 2020 written by Hiro Oda with illustrations Tsubasa V. There is also a manga version drawn by Aji Murata since February 2021.
