According to a current update on the show's official twitter, Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi (The Ice Young Man and the Gentle Girl) will debut in January 2023. The animation, which was confirmed three months ago, will be produced jointly by Liber and Zero-G Studios and adapt the manga by artist Miyuki Tonogawa, who has six volumes of work out already. Mixing romance and a bit of fantasy the story will follow Himuro, a young office worker descended from a yuki-onna (snow woman). When he is tense, worried or distracted, his emotions change the temperature of the environment, which freezes quickly. This sometimes prevents him from touching flowers, cats or people as the cold could kill them. Himuro, however, works side by side with Fuyutsuki, a woman in her twenties, very caring, who realizes the difficulties of his colleague and tries to help him in some way. The series will be directed by Mankyu with a script by Tomoko Komparu (she wrote for "Ao Haru Ride"), character design by Miyako Kano (she worked on "Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita") and soundtrack by Ruka Kawada (she composed for "Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu Ka?"). In the dubbing Fuyutsuki will be played by Yui Ishikawa (Violet from "Violet Evergarden") while Himuro will be voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi (Makoto from "Great Pretender").
