Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-dai) no Slow na Second Life (A New Quiet Life For The Resigned Black Knight At 30), today introduced its main dub cast. The anime confirmed 3 months ago will premiere in January 2023 with production by Encourage Films (same studio as "Deaimon"). The series will cover the Roku Juuyon light novel that has surpassed 1 million copies sold, considering the sum of the manga version. 

Dariel will be voiced by Tomokazu Sugita (the Lizardman from "Goblin Slayer"), Marika will be played by Akane Fujita (the Sagiri from "Eromanga Sensei"), Bashbarza will be dubbed by Atsushi Abe (the Touma from "Toaru Majutsu no Index") and Gashita will be voiced by Tetsuya Kakihara (the Natsu from "Fairy Tail").

Other names will include Rumi Okubo (The Sharon from "Engage Kiss") and Akari Kito (the Erika from "Kakkou no Iinazuke").

Kaiko Sareta will tell the story of Dariel, a 32-year-old man who since childhood has been raised in the dark realm believing he is not a human. Wearing black knight armour he served King Maou's army for a long time although he was never able to use magic.

However Bashbarza is now the new commander and together with three other leaders they despise Dariel and expel him from the kingdom. Without money or purpose he wanders the land and after four days of hunger and thirst he falls to the ground almost dead. Dariel awakens when he sees a white panty passing over his eyes, it belonged to the young Marika who was fleeing from an enraged monster.

As a thank you for saving her, the girl drags him to the village offering food and shelter. There the protagonist will discover that he is actually a human able to master the 4 types of magic auras: Slash, Sting, Hit and Guard. This makes him the strongest man in the world and probably a legendary hero. The anime will have general direction by Fumitoshi Oizaki (directed "Deaimon"), screenplay by Hitomi Amamiya (she wrote for "Astarotte no Omocha!"), character design by Satomi Yonezawa and soundtrack by Tsubasa Ito (composed for "Gaikotsu Kishi-sama").
