In twitter Kazami Sawatari announced that her light novel Shiotaiou no Sato-san ga Ore ni Dake Amai (Sato-san the Salty Goddess is Sweet With Me), has already surpassed 800,000 copies sold through 6 published issues. It is worth noting that such figure includes the recap volume 6.5, released in June, and the bindings of the manga which received its 5th issue today (images below). Being a typical teenage romantic comedy, the story follows the young Oshio Souta who, besides studying, helps out in the family cafeteria. One day he notices his classmate Koharu Satoru in the establishment, having a coffee while struggling to upload a photo on instagram. Koharu is the most attractive girl in school although she has an aloof personality, rejecting anyone who approaches her.

 This earned her the nickname "Salty Goddess" among the other students. However, in ridding her of some first-time flirters, Souta notices that Koharu is more shy and gentle than everyone imagines even though she is terrible at taking photographs.

The novel hit the market in December 2019 featuring illustrations by Atiki while the manga is drawn by Kaya Tatsuyama.
