Pulling No Punches/Punhos de Repúdio (2022): A video game for Progress where you beat up innocent people.

One of the issues with telling a story is expecting people to understand and, worse yet, agree with your point of view. People have their own lives, and you have yours. Personal political, social, and religious opinions may appear to be common sense, but they are untrue, especially if you belong to a political party or are considered a "social minority."

The general public might be better adapted to the idea of what we call mainstream or mainline and a radical group living in the naturalness of their group might think they belong to a current that is actually vocal, but minority, Pulling No Punches (Punhos de Repúdio) is possibly, after E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (the Atari videogame that was buried in the desert) the second worst game I've ever seen in my life.

Undoubtedly this video game that makes an apology for violence against Jair Bolsonaro, the Brazilian Donald Trump, is an example of what not to do in a video game and in any story, I have played the English version and I imagine that any ally in the United States of this LGBT+ game will understand absolutely nothing of what its developers have meant.

It comes described with the word "satirical", for a violent, apologetic and bigoted message, that's not satirical. Of course the racist myopia is unbelievable in putting a white woman, a black woman, an Asian woman and a trans woman first.

The story is simple, a group of activists get angry because people don't wear masks and what do "they" do, they start indiscriminately beating people in the street, except for "those wearing masks" while trying to take down Bolsonaro.

The worst thing about this game is that during the game you get the feeling that you are never being attacked, that you are the one attacking people who only react to your attacks, this feeling is present throughout the game.

Fists of Repudiation is the translated title, it is not a satire, it is produced by a group of people who need a safe space, but when faced with any problem their idea is basically to hit others. All my relatives dealt with the Pandemic except in my closest family, it's either luck or that we wear masks, but that doesn't give anyone the right to go around promoting violent actions, in the end many of these people paid for it with their lives, but it's a problem of ignorance and misinformation.

You can buy it on Steam but I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy, the feeling that you are the one attacking innocent people, the monotony of the enemies and the controls, not to mention that you won't understand any of the writing on the walls because they didn't even take the time to translate the texts, you'll get the impression that it's a group joke that you'll never understand.
