Shiro Seijo to Kuro Bokushi production update and confirms Spring/2023 premiere.

Announced 3 months ago, Shiro Seijo to Kuro Bokushi (The Saint in White and the Reverend in Black) got a new teaser and image today during an Aniplex event held in Japan.

The anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2023 with production by Doga Kobo (same studio as "RPG Fudousan"). The series will adapt Hazano Kazutake's manga started in 2017 having 10 volume already published.

Blending comedy and light romance Shiro Seijo will follow the devoted Reverend Lawrence, in charge of a small church where the local saint named Cecilia lives.

Although kind and polite to the faithful who ask him for advice or a miracle, Cecilia is clumsy, sleepy and lazy when she is alone with him. Overprotective, Lawrence avoids assigning any work that puts her at the slightest risk, something that consequently leaves the girl bored.

The anime will have a female technical team with general direction by Sumie Noro (she was episode director in "Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?"), script by Yuka Yamada (she wrote for "Slow Loop") and character design by Hiromi Nakagawa (animation director in "Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi").

In the dubbing Cecilia will be voiced by newcomer Hime Sawada while Lawrence will be played by Kaito Ishikawa (Kageyama from "Haikyuu!").
