Tengoku Daimakyou (Heavenly Delusion) meets expectations and will receive an anime adaptation.

In August of this year the first rumors came out indicating a possible anime of the manga Tengoku Daimakyou (Infernal Paradise). The leak was confirmed today in an official announcement bringing with it the first image, highlighting the young Maru and his clever sister Kiruko.

The series will premiere sometime in 2023 with animation by Production I.G. (same studio as "Ao Ashi").

Having 7 volumes released the manga is a creation of Masakazu Ishiguro, author remembered for the comedy "Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru" which received an anime in 2010 (image at the end).

Tengoku Daimakyou tells the story of a Japan devastated by a worldwide calamity that has eliminated a good portion of society, leaving the other doomed to starve to death.

There is however a protected place in the city of Tokyo seen as a paradise, where children are well cared for and fed by robots and older people.

Maru and Kikuro wander the devastated streets in search of such a place. In possession of an old reloadable gun they deal with the lack of water, food, and malicious thieves lurking around every corner. In parallel within the walls of the shelter two pre-teens, the young Tokio and the character Mimihime, harbor a desire to discover what is out there.

More details about the anime including a premiere date will be mentioned in future updates.
