Trailer and new details for Tensei Ōjo to Tensai Reijō no Mahō Kakumei

Kadokawa has released the second trailer for the anime Tensei Ōjo to Tensai Reijō no Mahō Kakumei, revealing new details. The promotional video confirms that the series will premiere in January 2023, as well as showing the voices of additional cast members and a preview of the opening titled "Arc-en-ciel". Doriko, song writer for Vocaloid, has composed and produced this opening theme song performed by singer Hanatan. The announcement has been accompanied by a new promotional image. 

Below is a breakdown of the new additions to the cast and their respective characters (images from left to right):

    Ai Kakuma as Illya Coral, Anisphia's personal maid.
    Shogo Sakata as Algard von Palletia, prince of Palletia and sole heir to the throne.
    Hina Yomiya as Lainie Cyan, daughter of a baron who comes from a commoner family.
    Yū Sasahara as Tilty Claret, daughter of the Marquis de Claret.
 

The cast in charge of bringing the main characters of this animation to life are (from right to left) Sayaka Senbongi as Anisphia (Anne-Sophia von Palletia) and Manaka Iwami as Euphyllia Magenta.

Shingo Tamaki (Owarimonogatari, Boruto: Naruto the Movie) is directing this anime for the Diomedéa studio (Domestic na Kanojo, Futsal Boys !!!!, while Wataru Watari (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru) is in charge of the script. Finally, Naomi Ide (Bakemonogatari) is in charge of character design.

 

Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei is a light novel series written by Pieru Karasu. The author initially published this story on the Japanese website Shōsetsuka ni Narō between February 2019 and August 2021. It was later acquired by Fujimi Shobō and published under its Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. To date, the publisher has released the first 5 volumes with illustrations by Yuri Kisaragi, the fifth volume was published in Japan on 20 August 2022.

Karasu's work also has a manga adaptation illustrated by Harutsugu Nadaka. This began serialisation in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Maoh magazine on 27 July 2020. To date, the publisher has published the first 4 volumes.

 

Despite her supposed ineptitude with normal magic, Princess Anisphia defies the aristocracy's expectations by developing "magicology", a unique magical theory based on her past life memories. That's when Anisphia devises a plan to help Euphyllia regain her good name, which somehow involves them living together and researching magic! However, these two
ladies don't know that their chance meeting will alter not only their own future, but also that of the kingdom... and the whole world!
