Rakudai Majo
receives its debut trailer and confirms its spring 2023 premiere.
Rakudai Majo (Witch Failed) will debut in Japanese theaters in the spring of 2023, according to a first trailer and illustration posted by Studio Production I.G. just a few hours ago (sometime from 21 March). The award-winning children's short story books by Satoko Narita with artwork by Enaga Chino will serve as the inspiration for the movie.
The works began in 2006 and already have 18 volumes printed by Pocket Bunko.
According to the producers, the story will follow a young witch, apprentice and awkward, who will discover her first love and experience a great adventure through a magical country where there is the power of light and darkness.
TECHNICAL
In the technical team the feature film will have general direction by Takayuki Hamana (he directed "Art"), screenplay by Kiyoko Yoshimura (she wrote for "Takt Op Destiny") and character design by Marumi Sugita (she held the animation direction in "Koisuru Asteroid").
