DMM in partnership with Asahi Production studio (the same as "Peach Boy Riverside"), confirmed today that they are working on an original anime titled Ars no Kyojuu (Giant Beasts of Ars).

Set to premiere in January 2023, the series has received a first trailer and a concept image designed by Isamu Kamikokuryo, art director of the "Final Fantasy XII", "XIII" and "XV" games as well as other work on the Square Enix franchise.

Ars no Kyojuu will tell the story of a mythological era ruled by heroes and swords. It is said that in the past the Beast created the earth but humans stole it from it.

Angry, the Beast began to devour humans, but humans summoned the gods to fight at his side. Now in a world where giant beasts cause huge disasters people thrive on hunting these dangerous beings.

The anime will have overall direction by Akira Oguro, script by Norimitsu Kaiho (wrote for "Kanata no Astra"), character design by Hiroshi Shimizu and soundtrack by Shuji Katayama (composed for "Overlord").


Among the voice actors Myaa will be played by Yuu Serizawa (Kaname from "Tonikaku Kawaii"), Kuumi will be voiced by Hina Yomiya (Shinju from "Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru") and Jiiro will be dubbed by Toshiyuki Morikawa (August from "Vanitas no Karute").
