My Hero Hero, which was introduced in June of this year, unveiled a first teaser and new image today on its official Twitter account and website. Tezuka Productions will produce it, and it will debut in April 2023. It is an adaptation of Naoki Yamakawa's manga, which sold more than 1.3 million copies as of November of last year. The anime will have general direction by Takashi Kamei, script by Kohei Kiyasu (wrote for "Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru"), character design by Masatsune Noguchi and soundtrack by Kenji Kawai (composed for "No Guns Life"). In the dubbing Tetsuo will be played by Junichi Suwabe (Aizawa from "Boku no Hero Academia"), Kasen will be voiced by Sayaka Ohara (Elza from "Fairy Tail") and Reika will be dubbed by newcomer Chihiro Shirata. Addressing sensitive themes My Home Hero tells the story of Tetsuo Tosu, an ordinary worker devastated to discover that his only daughter Reika had been physically abused by her ex-boyfriend Matori Nobuto. He decides to investigate the subject and discovers that Nobuto often extorts money from his rich grandparents, besides belonging to the criminal world and having a history of murdering former partners. Filled with rage and fear of his daughter suffering the same fate, Tetsuo and his wife Kasen eliminate Nobuto and manage to hide the body apparently without a trace. However, the crime syndicate becomes suspicious of the disappearance and begins an investigation. The parents then must work together to prevent their daughter from becoming further involved in the matter. Naoki Yamakawa is also the author of "100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru" (I'm Standing on a Million Lives) which received 2 animes in 2020 and 2021 totaling 24 episodes
