Blue Giant movie gets new teaser and confirms screening on February 17.

Nut Studio today released a new teaser and image for Blue Giant, a film inspired by Shinichi Ishizuka's acclaimed manga that will debut in Japanese theaters on February 17, 2023. Winner of the 62nd Shogakukan Manga Award, the work tells the story of Dai Miyamoto, a young 3rd grade high school student whose soul has been touched by the unique rhythm of Jazz.

Chasing his dream of becoming the greatest saxophonist of all time, he trained for years on the streets of Kawahara and now seeks to take new steps toward his goal.

Surpassing 8.8 million copies sold the manga was published from 2013 to 2016 yielding 10 printed volumes.

A sequel titled "Blue Giant Supreme" was released between 2016 and 2020, totaling 11 additional volumes, as well as a new sequel called "Blue Giant Explorer" that began in 2020 with no closing date.

The feature film is directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa (he was director of "Deca-Dence" and "Mob Psycho 100").
