Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa
. First impressions, a caricatured and visually different parody, will the anime make it into the season?
Just to refresh your memory, the anime industry has four seasons per year that correspond to Japan's weather patterns. The Summer 2018 season began on July 1st.
The four seasons are winter (January, February, and March), spring (April, May, and June), summer (July, August, and September), and then fall (October, November and December).
If we only count adaptations that become popular with the audience, the average number of new animes in each of them—between releases and continuations—is between 40 and 50. However, this figure may be significantly higher.
Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa
(or Mr. Tonegawa Middle Management Blues) is a parody about the
corporate world that debuted yesterday with a bold and different visual
style, a caricatured and mafia script and a purposefully annoying
narration. Will the anime make it to the season?
The adaptation is a spin-off of the Kaiji series, in this first episode we follow the trajectory of Yukio Tonegawa (voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa ) the second in command of the Teiai corporation, an organization that
acts in a similar way to the mafia, threatening or extorting whoever it
is. owes something. Tonegawa
is a shrewd and cold-blooded middle-aged man who rose through the ranks
thanks to his ability to handle difficult situations by solving
everything with a steady arm. He is in charge of the men in black whose job it is to collect his clients' debts, often under threat.
Everything was going well in Tonegawa's routine, but a call from his boss Hyoudou Kazutaka made his hair stand on end. The
big boss is an old man who is bored with the frivolities of society and
wants to see carnage and bloodshed as entertainment. He
tasks Tonegawa with devising and producing a freak show with the scum
of humanity worth a lot of money, simply to entertain him and the number
two of the organization will have to successfully fulfill the mission
otherwise something terrible can happen if the boss's mood doesn't
change. joyful. Chuukan
Kanriroku Tonegawa, has a different character design and caricatured
with thick lines reminiscent of American cartoons, the comedy based on
the equally bizarre behavior of the characters follows the same line. The anime showed itself in this first episode with an eccentric plot and a very annoying narration.
These
are just the first impressions and the anime may show some surprises
that make it interesting throughout the season, however, personally my
bets on Chuukan Kanriroku are average and if it is not more than it
appears it will end up forgotten at the expense of the different visual
style and narrative mess.
A positive point is the fact that the adaptation is being produced by the expressive studio Madhouse (the same as One Punch Man , No Game no Life, Sakura Cardcaptor and Death Note) which usually works well with works with an eccentric script. Just remember that One Punch Man, which is a parody about superheroes, constitutes one and its greatest hits.
Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa is available for free or paid streaming service Crunchyroll with advertisements including Brazilian Portuguese subtitles. Premium users (paid) can now check out the first episode, the other users (free) watch the episodes seven days after the release of each one.
