Spy Kyoushitsu (Spy Room) updates production and confirms premiere next Japanese winter.

Announced in March this year, Spy Kyoushitsu (Spy Room) today revealed a new teaser and illustration confirming its premiere in January 2023. The pseudo spy anime starring well-dressed girls will feature production from Feel Studio (the same as "Bokutachi no Remake"), covering the light novel written by Takemachi.

The work illustrated by Tomari won the 32nd Fantasia Bunko Award and surpassed a modest 400,000 copies sold last April, including the manga version in the sum total.

The story takes place after the war that decimated much of society, leading governments to adopt more "discreet" strategies to achieve their goals.

Lily (codename "Hanazono") is a high school student at the institution dedicated to training young spies. Although she passes her theoretical exams with honors, she fails her physical exams, compromising her future.

The opportunity for change arises when Lily is called upon for an impossible mission as part of the mysterious "Tomoshibi" team. However everything was only a test to train a team of problematic spies of which she is now a part.

The anime will have general direction by Keichirou Kawaguchi (directed "Ochikobore Fruit Tart") with script by Shinichi Inotsume (wrote for "Akatsuki no Yona") and character design by Sumie Kinoshita (she drew for "New Game!").

In the dub Klaus will be voiced by Yuichirou Umehara (the Courier from "Akudama Drive") while Lily will be played by Sora Amamiya (the Nazuna from "Yofukashi no Uta"). Other cast names will include Miku Itou (Grete), Nao Touyama (Jivia), Aoi Yuki (Monica), Sumire Uesaka (Tia), Ayane Sakura (Sarah) and Tomori Kusunoki (Annette).
