Announced 8 months ago Sokushi Cheat ga Saikyou Sugite (My Instant Death Skill is Invincible), won a first video today revealing design and animation quality. Adapted by studio Okuruto Noboru, the anime will premiere in January 2024 covering the light novel by authors Tsuyoshi Fujitaka (text) and Chisato Naruse (illustrations). The work has a manga version drawn by Hanamaru Nanto that surpassed 1 million copies sold in 8 printed copies. Sokushi Cheat will tell the story of Yogiri Takatou, a young high school student who, during a bus tour with his class, ends up in another world after going through a tunnel. There they are greeted by the kindly sadistic and dangerous Sion, claiming that they were all chosen to develop special abilities and become wise. It turns out that Yogiri and fellow student Tomochika Dannoura don't seem to have any skills and so they were viciously used as bait in the capture of a dragon. However, the other corrupted and malicious students don't realize that Yogiri has an exclusive skill, capable of killing any individual with a simple word regardless of the difference in level. The anime will be directed by Masakazu Hishida (directed "Hanyou no Yashahime") with a script by Jou Aoba, character designs by Sayuri Sakimoto (she was animation director on several episodes of "Black Clover"), and soundtrack by Hanae Nakamura (she composed for "Otome Game no Hametsu Flag"). Yogiri will be voiced by Kouki Uchiyama (the Yamada from "Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru"), Tomochika will be played by Miyu Tomita (the Chuatury from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Suisei no Majo"), and Sion will be voiced by Yui Horie.
